Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective date: August 3, 2026
CheeseChase is developed by DraftCraft. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the game collects, why, and what it does not collect. CheeseChase does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not use analytics or tracking SDKs. The only feature that transmits any data off your device is the optional, user‑triggered Bug Report tool described below.

1. Summary

  • No account creation, sign‑in, or sign‑in with Google/Facebook/Apple.
  • No advertising networks, no analytics, no third‑party trackers.
  • No location, contacts, camera, or microphone access.
  • No data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
  • The only outgoing data transfer happens if you choose to submit a Bug Report.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

CheeseChase does not ask you to register, log in, or provide any personal identifying information (name, email, phone number, address, payment details) to play the game. We do not integrate any Google Play Games Services, social login, or third‑party identity provider at this time. If this changes in a future update, this policy will be updated before that feature is released.

3. Information Stored Only On Your Device

The game saves a small set of preferences locally on your device (using browser localStorage, or the equivalent local storage on desktop/Android builds). This data never leaves your device and is not visible to us:

KeyPurpose
Language preferenceRemembers the display language you selected.
Game settingsRemembers gameplay/UI options you configured (e.g. sound, display preferences).
Keyboard hints toggleRemembers whether on‑screen keyboard‑shortcut hints are shown.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data (or, on desktop/Android builds, by uninstalling/reinstalling the app or clearing its app data).

4. The Bug Report Feature

CheeseChase includes an optional tool to help us fix problems during development. You can open it by tapping/clicking the Report Bug button, from the "Stuck?" prompt, or — on the desktop/browser versions — by pressing the B keyboard shortcut. Opening this window does not send anything — data is only transmitted if you press the Send to Discord button.

What is captured when you send a report

Where it goes

When you press "Send to Discord," this information (screenshot, game‑state snapshot, and your optional comment) is sent directly from your device to a private Discord channel used by the developer for bug tracking, via a Discord webhook. We use it solely to diagnose and fix issues during development. Once the data reaches Discord's servers, it is also subject to Discord's own Privacy Policy.

Your choice: Sending a bug report is entirely optional. If you close the window without pressing "Send to Discord," nothing is transmitted. Please avoid typing personal information into the optional comment field.

5. Third‑Party Services

Aside from the Discord webhook used only when you submit a Bug Report (Section 4), CheeseChase does not integrate any third‑party advertising, analytics, crash‑reporting, or data‑broker SDKs. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.

6. Children's Privacy

CheeseChase is a general‑audience board game and is not directed at collecting personal information from children. Because the game does not collect personal information during normal play, and the Bug Report feature is an optional developer tool, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the Bug Report comment field, contact us using the details below and we will remove it.

7. Data Retention & Security

Local preferences (Section 3) remain on your device until you clear them or uninstall the app. Bug reports (Section 4) are retained in the developer's private Discord channel only as long as needed to investigate and fix the reported issue. We take reasonable measures to keep the Discord workspace used for bug reports restricted to the development team.

8. Changes to This Policy

As CheeseChase evolves (for example, if we add accounts, cloud saves, or online multiplayer services in the future), we will update this page, bump the version number, and revise the "Effective date" above. Significant changes affecting how your data is handled will be summarized in the revision history below.
